Signing of MoU between SDIP and Netherlands Business Hub in Kenya

The State Department for Investment Promotions (SDIP) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Netherlands Business Hub in Kenya (NLBH).
The MOU was signed by the PS State Department For Investment Promotion on behalf of the Government, and Mr. Jules Delahaije signed on behalf of the Netherlands Business Hub as its Chairman. It aims to strengthen the commitment between both parties to support the Dutch Business Community in Kenya.
It further aims to promote available investment opportunities as well as lobby for a favorable business environment. It was signed at a business forum during the King and Queen of the Netherlands' state visit to Kenya.
During the occasion, PS Abubakar noted that “the MOU underwrites the Kenyan Government's recognition of the importance of business partnerships between the 2 countries.”
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Netherlands Business Hub, Mr. Jules Delahaije, said, “The cooperation between The State Department For Investment Promotion and The Netherlands Business Hub confirms the value of the Netherlands Business Community in Kenya."
It is a good example of the public and private sectors supporting each other to promote “doing business in Kenya and to improve the investment climate”.
To the General Manager of the Hub, Ms. Yvonne Oerlemans, the signing of the MOU “is a recognition of our passion and our commitment to connect business communities locally and between Kenya and the Netherlands.
Dutch Ambassador to Kenya, Hon. Henk-Jan Bakker, said, “A strong partnership between government and the private sector is essential for business support."
