KJET Communications and ICT Teams Strategize ahead of Project Rollout
Communications and ICT heads from the Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) initiative held a joint meeting on Wednesday to align strategies ahead of the project’s nationwide rollout.
The session, chaired by Communications Specialist Dr. Kibisu Kabatesi, brought together representatives from the State Department for Investment Promotion (SDIP), State Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SDMSME), Kenya Development Corporation (KDC), KenInvest, Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA), Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) and Kenya Export Promoting & Branding Agency (KEPROBA). The focus was on harmonizing communication workplans, streamlining messaging and enhancing visibility of the World Bank-funded initiative.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Kabatesi emphasized the need for unified and impactful communication to support KJET’s goal of creating over 45,000 jobs across Kenya.
The team committed to finalizing a consolidated communication workplan, strengthening branding efforts and building capacity across agencies. ICT departments will also spearhead development of the official KJET website and digital platforms to improve public engagement.
The meeting concluded with a call for stronger collaboration, consistency and strategic communication that reflects the values and ambitions of the KJET initiative.
