National Implementation Committee of Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone Reports Progress Towards Operationalization

Today, Abubakar Hassan, the Permanent Secretary for Investment Promotion, took charge of a meeting held by the National Implementation Committee of the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone. The meeting was attended by Captain William Ruto, Managing Director of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Kenneth Chelule, Managing Director of the Special Economic Zone, and Fred Muteti, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA).

During the meeting, progress reports regarding the implementation roadmap of the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone were presented. It is with great pleasure to announce that the processes of land compensation, resettlement, and issuance of title deeds for individuals affected by the project are nearing completion. The officials expressed their strong determination to expedite the operationalization of the Zone in order to facilitate the entry of investors.
